Football is the flagship sport of Saudi Arabia and a cornerstone of the SSA programme. Our U9, U11, U14, U16 & U19 leagues bring together schools from across Riyadh, giving boys and girls the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow through the Kingdom’s most celebrated game.
By developing structured school leagues, SSA supports Vision 2030’s mission to nurture young talent, promote active lifestyles, and create equal opportunities for boys and girls to participate in sport across the Kingdom.
The U14 Volleyball Tournaments, held on 8th October, brought together 12 teams of boys and girls competing with skill, teamwork, and passion. The matches were officiated by referees from the Saudi Volleyball Federation, ensuring a high standard of play and professionalism throughout the event.
Volleyball has been included in SSA’s programme because it builds teamwork, communication, and confidence, key values that extend beyond the court. It encourages young players to stay active, learn discipline, and experience the excitement of competitive sport in a supportive and inclusive environment.
By promoting volleyball in schools, SSA supports Vision 2030’s goal of increasing youth and female participation in sport, helping to inspire the next generation of athletes to play, lead, and thrive.
Netball is one of the fastest-growing sports for girls in Saudi Arabia, and SSA is proud to be at the forefront of its development. In September 2025, SSA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Netball Federation, led by HRH Princess Ghada bint Abdullah Al Saud, to promote the sport across schools and build pathways for young players to compete nationally and internationally.
Netball has been included in SSA’s programme because it promotes teamwork, communication, and confidence, while creating an inclusive environment for girls to participate in competitive sport. Through tournaments, coaching clinics, and federation-led development sessions, students are introduced to a sport that encourages leadership and active living.
By integrating netball into schools, SSA directly supports Vision 2030’s goals to increase female participation in sport, empower future leaders, and create opportunities for girls to thrive both on and off the court.
Basketball is rapidly gaining popularity among students across Riyadh, and SSA is proud to provide a platform for young athletes to learn, compete, and excel in this dynamic and fast-paced sport.
